In my book, Tiger Beetle at Kendallwood, the main character, Marcy Hankins, has an intense 
fascination with bugs. Well, insects to be more precise. She loves to spend her time hunting for, capturing, and studying different types of insects. (Tiger Beetle at Kendallwood is the 2nd title in the Norma Jean Lutz Classic Collection.)

Entomology is the scientific study of insects. An entomologist is a scientist who studies insects – 
which is exactly what Marcy would like to do as her life’s profession.
In Marcy’s hometown and small-school setting, her passion is somewhat misunderstood. It makes her different.
Her nickname is bug brain.

While playing around with bugs might not be everyone’s cup of tea, Marcy still should be able to follow her dreams without being picked on.
